There have to be thousands of telegenic, conservative articulate young women in their 20’s who can replace Elizabeth Hasselbeck. You are doing a disservice to the conservative viewpoint by having Ms. Hasselbeck represent this viewpoint. She is very superficial in her analysis, and gives the impression she is reading cue cards without understanding what she is really saying. Also, she interrupts and engages in these bizarre filabusters. Rosie may be gone for good, but you have an opportunity to inject a new enthusiasm to the show with a truly conservative dynamic host. For the show and your fans’ sake, I hope you are silently interviewing for her replacement.
Where I believe that Rosie and Elizabeth both have strong views on what they believe. Elisabeth, herself has been very argumentive and loud towards opposing views. Elizabeth is young, maybe too young to understand the consequences of her convictions. She is constantly interupting others, holds her views tight to her chest whether right or wrong and rejects any opposing view of any kind. Sure she “won” that round with Rosie but she had the upperhand because Rosie just got trashed by the Donald publically. Not that it matter much but Elizabeth is a opportunist and took that opportunity to degrade her co-host about her beliefs.
Barbara,You really need to do a complete overhaul of The View. Elizabeth cannot hold her own. She isn’t very intelligent and her beliefs are designed to make most people angry. Fire Elizabeth before you lose your show all together. You were better off keeping Rosie and getting rid of EH. I’m not a big fan of Rosies either.

Elisabeth is a horrible example for young women. She is anorexic and flaunts it with her “saltines and jelly”. A search of that will produce Pro-Ana sites as it is one of the more common things that anorexics allow themselves when they can’t sleep. Having her on the show laughing about the disorder and her promiscuity in college while calling herself a good Christian is not the image American girls need. We have plenty of girls like her on TV all ready. The View was intended to show a positive group of women.

Originally, wasn’t The View supposed to bring together women with substantial experience - each from a different age decade - conversing about current events in a relaxed manner, not unlike friends having lunch?
In the earlier Meredith/Lisa/Joy/Star days this seemed to be the format. Then it got more materialistic, hollywood-heavy. I had held out hope it would be more of a t.v. version of The Satellite Sisters radio show.
Elizabeth, a former contestant of a “reality” show, erstwhile “designer”, wife of a football player has never been qualified or deserving of a place on The View. Every time I see Lisa Ling’s courageous, brilliant work I feel outrage that Elizabeth has been given such a prominent platform. It is an injustice to women viewers - and while school-age girls are less likely to see The View - it is an injustice to them to show that such a vapid person is rewarded with a place on The View panel.
How could Barbara Walters, a person we always associated with quality, have allowed this Elizabeth to have a place on her show?
It is not just her shrillness, but Elizabeth has horrified me with her treatment of Rory Kennedy, her venomous comments in support of the death penalty - all the while posturing as devout Christian.

It was great to see EH get smacked down by Whoopie Goldberg. Elisabeth is trying too hard to take charge. I find her shrill and not very smart. It is always fun to watch her work harder and harder to defend the Bush administration. She only succeeds in looking foolish and mindless.

I tried to watch after the whole Rosie-Elisabeth feud and today was the last straw to me. She speaks over other people, doesn’t respect other people’s views and believes it is her way only. I am tired of her and tired of the View the way it is now.

I have no problem with her point of view, even if I don’t agree with it. I am willing to listen to the other side to become a truly informed citizen. I can’t stand her rudenes. She interrupts, points her finger and sometime tears up because others won’t listen to her point of view. She doe not represent young working moms. Shes actually an embarassment to that particular group. Since Rosie left (who I wasn’t a huge fan of either) she seems even more cocky, like she has won and is unbeatable.

Is it just me, or does the woman seem like a celebrity groupie? There is nothing about her that I (a twenty-something, college-educated woman) can relate to. She seems totally enamored by the celebrity guests and bragging about whatever event or exotic vacation she went on. What does that have to do with my life — or anyone else’s who watches the show? She is disingenous, rude, self-righteous, and not someone I would want to know in the “real world.” It is beyond me why the View keeps giving her more airtime. I refuse to tune in until they replace her with someone more authentic.
I have lost all respect for Barbara Walters. I used to record the view everyday once Rosie joined, it was refreshing to hear reality - rather than the Fox spin or CNN watered down for Americans. Elizabeth has always been an annoying part of the show - now that she feels that she has to “stand up” for George Bush and conservative ideals it is unbearable. She perpetuates the notion that by invading Iraq and taking resources away from Afghanistan was a solid decision. She seems to think that the Bush Administration feeding false information to Congress so that they were unable to make a decision based on actual facts was permissable (her continued support of the Bush Administration supports that statment). Then the women that have been on as guests - Sherrie Shepperd…funny as a comedian, but she is constantly quoting incorrect information…it is more than I can bear. The View started out as a so-so show - became riviting when Rosie joined and sadly hasn’t returned to so-so…instead it is UN-VIEWABLE. Please fire Elizabeth - your show sucks with the new-improved fem-bot for Bush who talks-talks-talks but says nothing.

I have several trains of thought on this:
#1 Keep EH on The View to display her republican stupidity on a regular basis. She is so disgusting that maybe TRUE conservatives (not neo-cons or facists such as the crew that is in the “executive” branch now) will finally get fed up enough to support impeachment of the president & vice president and/or will vote democratic in the 2008 election (for president and the congress).
#2 Acknowledge that Bill Geddie (the OTHER producer and a neo-con himself — not BW the co-producer) has the “hots” for this stupid tramp and these are the REAL reasons (his political beliefs and his libido) that the little numbnut is still on The View
#3 Rather than writing to ABC or imploring people who will not listen to fire EH because she is the sole reason that most of us who used to watch The View regularly no longer do, write to the advertisers and tell them that unless they instruct ABC Daytime to fire EH, you will boycott their products. I have compiled a very short list of advertisers — there are more and I will write to them all. Here are a few of them:

Oh, and Barbara Walters is a fraud! Maybe she was once a respected journalist but maybe that was an illusion, too! Maybe THIS is the REAL Barbara Walters…someone who doesn’t respect their own reputation enough to only have the best and brightest on The View. I like Sherri Shephard’s humor but she eschews the whole science of evolution! Just another idiot on the program to dumb down daytime!
Great post Sarah! Completely agree with all of your excellent points. Writing to advertisers is a great idea. The degree of Elisabeth’s ignorance and stupidity has reached a whole new level since Rosie left the view. It is beyond absurd to have this person on a highly watched show (although it might be declining). It is bad enough we have out government feeding uneducated people’s brains and taking advantage of their ignorance in order to push their geopolitical and economic agenda for their own gainings. If they can do that, imagine what Elisabeth can do. She comes off as this sweet, innocent, wholesome, patriotic soccer mom. When women don’t work, perhaps don’t have much education, and stay home to take care of their kids THIS is who they listen to. THIS is their role model. That is not right. It is sickening really. Joy does an ok job counteracting, but still Elisabeth is still stupidly feeding way too much erroneous information into people’s heads.
Have you ever noticed that Elisabeth constantly interrupts guests and just talks? And when speaking in segments she talks so fast - she appears nervous. It really is remarkable that ABC would keep her on the show as her contribution is minimal. I am sure there must be others out there that could srticulate the conservative position better than Elisabeth. I plan to watch the View again when she is on maternity leave.
I have watched The View, particularly the Hot Topics segment, for years. The discussions used to be stimulating and informative, and I was interested to hear the opinions of all the co-hosts, because they seemed to genuinely think about the issues under discussion.
While Elisabeth does represent the younger demographic, what I find most repugnant about her is that her opinions consist solely of regurgitation of “facts” as presented by Bush’s govt. (and by creationists and evangelical Christian conservatives as well). She has embraced the entire belief system with such certainty that it is scary to anyone with more life experience. Was her invitation to the White House a reward, or perhaps an opportunity for Bush et al to perform additional mind control?
At any rate, tune to Fox if you want to hear that drivel. The View audience is losing patience with smug Elisabeth. Rosie was a great loss for the show, and if Joy were not there, I would never watch it.
ABC, Please use this opportunity to replace Elisabeth with an intelligent, articulate, and informed co-host who can represent the conservative viewpoint.
The View should be a place where women who have actually done something with their lives can discuss what they have learned, informed by the perspective gained from their life’s experiences. If you require someone from the Right on The View, then please let them have some accomplishment or difficult life experience they can draw from other than appearing nearly naked on a game show. Her lack of ever having attempted to do anything truly difficult drags down the level of discussion. I don’t watch it since Rosie left, and I miss it. But sitting in a corner staring at a wall is a better use of time than watching Elisabeth do or say anything. What can anyone really learn from her? She is a noisy vacant lot.

When Rosie left hundreds of thousands of viewers left with her. Today I saw The View by accident, it was on at the garage, stuck I was waiting for my car, and I heard Elizabeth ask stipid hurtful questions to Jon Voigt about his relationship with Angelina and grandchildren, questions she, an avid trash tabloid reader, knew the answers too, and after putting him on the spot, she then gets all fired up about the city of New York’s efforts to get formula out of hospitals so new mothers can be supported trying breast feeding, the healthiest method of nourishing a baby. I am sick of her ignorance, her starry eyed Bushisms, her bad interviewing style, her insecure fast talking short skirt attention seeking annoying presence, she does not represent 30 something women, she is just awful at this job, please send her packing.
I stopped watching the view shortly after Rosie left. Although I’m not a big Rosie fan, I simply can not stand Elisabeth. She is unable to interview a single guest without adding her own personal agenda or comment. What has she done in her life to become such a world expert on everything? Oh yes, she was on an island.
I stopped watching the View after that last day with Rosie … on the occasion that I do tune in … I usually end up regretting it … EH is dumb. I hate to be so blunt … but she is - she ruins the show and her opinions/points are laughable … she has no on air charisma or any qualities that make up for her ignorance. Like chronic pain that slowly increases in intensity over time to become agony that is then cured, I didn’t realize just how painful the show had become to watch until a blessedly Elisabeth-free show aired last week and I realized what an immense relief it was not to hear her fingernails-on-a-blackboard voice rudely steamrolling over everyone else’s comments. What a lovely change of pace to hear thoughtful, intelligent comments and answers expressed completely with appropriately modulated voices without constant screeching rapid-fire interruption. While Elisabeth might be suited to certain types of television programming, she is decidedly NOT appropriate for The View. She needs to go.

AN OPEN LETTER TO ELISABETH
Dear Elisabeth… I have nothing against you, and have never met you, but I have a feeling you could be a decent person. That’s why it irks me that you publicly support this war. Please read the following 10 points with an open mind:
1. Most (if not all) of the Iraqi people killed are not responsible for 911.
2. There have been no weapons of mass destruction found–wasn’t that the whole purpose of this war? That’s what Bush stated (over and over again) in his speeches leading up to the war.
3. Children (and other innocent civilians) are dying, being injured, and losing their homes in this war. Are their deaths worth what is being accomplished? Think how 911 affected you… now imagine how Iraqi civilians have to deal with these tragedies daily.
4. If(God forbid)you think the deaths of the soldiers and Iraqi civilians are justified, then what makes the lives of these innocent people less valuable than the lives of your family members?
5. You have said that “terrorists are scary.” No arguments there, but that doesn’t mean we need to go shoot up an entire country. Stop watching Fox News — it is just one big political ad, and everyone knows that the best way to sell a product (or a war) is through fear.
6. You once said, “if this war is about oil, then so be it.” It is THEIR oil, and with the $450,000,000,000 spent on the war so far, an alternative oil source could have been produced. Even a country like Brazil gets more than 60% of their oil from corn crops.
7. You are against abortion. As Liberal as my views are, my conscience would never allow me to have an abortion either …but, isn’t killing an Iraqi, innocent or not, just as bad as killing a fetus?
8. There is nothing Christian about traveling across the ocean to kill other human being.
9. No one is supporting the troops by sending them off to a questionable war with insufficient training and armor. (More than 50% of the troops have died in unarmored vehicles; many of the soldiers had placed sheets of scrap metal in the vehicles as a desperate attempt for protection.)
10. The only link between Iraq and Al Qaeda is the letter “Q” … and their leader was trained in the US.
Please get rid of elisabeth, she’s not doing anyone in the States or on the Continent of North America any good. I travel quite a bit and the view of this continent is not a good one by our Earthly cousins. Please get rid of her, for my children’s sake.

I’ve written to The View so many times, begging and pleading for them to get rid of EH. She’s really quite brilliant though. She keeps getting knocked up so they CAN’T fire her.
She bought herself nine more months. Too bad Rosie didn’t hang in there. I think ABC will wake up once they see that their ratings continue to spiral.

I would just like to know how she would feel if her precious Tim was sent to Iraq for years at a time-maybe that would give her more to talk about than what little Grace did on the potty yesterday or her vacation with Tim on some island somewhere. I bet the soldiers would love to be on an island with their loved ones instead of being kidnapped, blown up, or without watching their children grow up. I would absolutely love for her to be fired, but I would also like to tell her: Be careful walking around with your eyes and ears closed. That isn’t a defense, that is actually a good way to get knocked off whatever high horse you feel that you’re on. I remember a certain Elisabeth ripping into Lebron James for even considering playing in the NBA championships versus being there for the birth of his child. I think she stated her husband Tim would be there. Of course her husband would have be there as there was no chance he would actually play in a game as the backup backup quarterback. i love watching the view until EH opens her mouth. but the best part is when she puts her foot in it! Barbara please please replace her! Everytime Elizabeth opens her mouth to give her opinion all I hear is blah, blah, blah. Her biggest concern in life is a potty chart.Why does’nt she join the military & fully support the war?? I think that the real problem is the opponents of the war, and mine is an argument of logistics. So, I am in favor of the war, but only out of default; that is because the U.S. govt. was more effective at presenting their case.
Here is why. The real question of the war was not weapons, but rather, should Saddam Hussein stay in power, or should another nation take preemptive action. This is parallel to the U.S. Senate vote on retaining Clinton, and the referendum in California on retaining Governor Davis. It’s the exact same issue; either Hussein is great or he’s awful.
What Rosie/Kelly O Donnell, Michael Moore, Barbra, Howard Dean, and Jimmy Carter/Nobel Prize FAILED to do was the near-absurd: vouch for S.H. NO ONE outside of Iraq was doing this, not even Sean Penn and that duplicitous feminist Susan Sarandon.
In other words, we take the problems we have now or lament at not seeing someone who gassed people and stray dogs for fun, killed many, (and whose randomly raped/murdered women for sport) still oppressing his people. IT’S THAT SIMPLE!!

I have boycotted the view. I would love to watch if only for the other cohosts but I can’t stand Elisabeth. She is an embarrassment to herself and I can’t beleive she is who has been representing my demographic (female, 20’s) for this long.
Elisabeth is an ideologue and the fact that she has shared a stage w/ Ann Coulter shows that she is an embarrassment to “The View.” Her ridiculous comments about Monica Lewinsky in the Mitt Romney disagreement demonstrate that she adds nothing substantial to this show. It’s completely unreasonable to compare polygamy (which is illegal) to an adulterous affair, which while immoral is not against the law. She has no common sense, logic, and she doesn’t represent my demographic.

Elizabeth is the most pompous, arrogant, yet IGNORANT idiot on television. Her views on life are closed, she sees nothing from anyone else’s point of view and she really needs to know what she is talking about before she opens her stupid mouth. I love hearing all points of view and keep an open mind, but I can’t watch Elisabeth anymore. She is so closed minded and actually becomes ugly when defending her views. It becomes offensive to those that don’t share her view as if she is accusing us of not having morals.
The thing that burns me up the most is that Elizabeth spouts every talking point the right wing comes up with- even when tons of evidence to the contrary exists. More importantly she twists facts (eg morning after pill) that are not true and her made up facts should not be allowed on network tv without some sort of correction, people’s health could easily be at stake.
She apparently has never seen the tougher side of life, her opinions of porno, infidelity and human mistakes reak of immaturity and inexperience.
Unfortunately we won’t see a humbler Elizabeth until one day the Enquirer publishes photos of her hubbie sneaking out of hotel with a hooker.
I record the View and watch it everyday so that I can get a good laugh at how stupid EH sounds. Talking about adults peeing in children’s diapers and her having loose bowels is not essential for us to know, and I don’t see how ABC and BW think this is good entertainment. Surely there are other conservative females in their late 20’s or early 30′ that could better represent this particular demographic. I’m glad EH isn’t doing the giveaways this season so far. She sounds so stupid trying to act like Oprah does when she gives things away. Also, when she says things like “we really love you, we really do” to guests, or “you were great, you really were” she sounds so stupid. EH asks really dumb questions of guests and tries to talk over everyone. I’m glad the other panel members ignore half of what she says.

You are doing a disservice to the conservative viewpoint by having Ms. Hasselbeck represent this viewpoint. Also, she interrupts and engages in these bizarre filabusters. Rosie may be gone for good, but you have an opportunity to inject a new enthusiasm to the show with a truly conservative dynamic host. Elizabeth is young, maybe too young to understand the consequences of her convictions. Originally, wasn’t The View supposed to bring together women with substantial experience - each from a different age decade - conversing about current events in a relaxed manner, not unlike friends having lunch?
In the earlier Meredith/Lisa/Joy/Star days this seemed to be the format. Then it got more materialistic, hollywood-heavy. I had held out hope it would be more of a t.v. version of The Satellite Sisters radio show.
Elizabeth, a former contestant of a “reality” show, erstwhile “designer”, wife of a football player has never been qualified or deserving of a place on The View. Every time I see Lisa Ling’s courageous, brilliant work I feel outrage that Elizabeth has been given such a prominent platform. It is an injustice to women viewers - and while school-age girls are less likely to see The View - it is an injustice to them to show that such a vapid person is rewarded with a place on The View panel.
How could Barbara Walters, a person we always associated with quality, have allowed this Elizabeth to have a place on her show?
It is not just her shrillness, but Elizabeth has horrified me with her treatment of Rory Kennedy, her venomous comments in support of the death penalty - all the while posturing as devout Christian.
This could easily be solved personally by never again watching The View, but I realized that it is my responsibility to speak out against even this injustice because if ignored and unchecked it becomes part of the erosion of our potentially good world family.

Elizabeth has always been an annoying part of the show - now that she feels that she has to “stand up” for George Bush and conservative ideals it is unbearable. She perpetuates the notion that by invading Iraq and taking resources away from Afghanistan was a solid decision. She seems to think that the Bush Administration feeding false information to Congress so that they were unable to make a decision based on actual facts was permissable (her continued support of the Bush Administration supports that statment). Then the women that have been on as guests - Sherrie Shepperd…funny as a comedian, but she is constantly quoting incorrect information…it is more than I can bear. The View started out as a so-so show - became riviting when Rosie joined and sadly hasn’t returned to so-so…instead it is UN-VIEWABLE. Please fire Elizabeth - your show sucks with the new-improved fem-bot for Bush who talks-talks-talks but says nothing.

#1 Keep EH on The View to display her republican stupidity on a regular basis. She is so disgusting that maybe TRUE conservatives (not neo-cons or facists such as the crew that is in the “executive” branch now) will finally get fed up enough to support impeachment of the president & vice president and/or will vote democratic in the 2008 election (for president and the congress).
#2 Acknowledge that Bill Geddie (the OTHER producer and a neo-con himself — not BW the co-producer) has the “hots” for this stupid tramp and these are the REAL reasons (his political beliefs and his libido) that the little numbnut is still on The View
#3 Rather than writing to ABC or imploring people who will not listen to fire EH because she is the sole reason that most of us who used to watch The View regularly no longer do, write to the advertisers and tell them that unless they instruct ABC Daytime to fire EH, you will boycott their products. I have compiled a very short list of advertisers — there are more and I will write to them all. Here are a few of them:

If enough of us in large numbers let the advertisers know our position, it is possible that they may feel it isn’t worth the loss of revenue and pressure ABC Daytime to take action to eliminate EH from this show.
Oh, and Barbara Walters is a fraud! Maybe she was once a respected journalist but maybe that was an illusion, too! Maybe THIS is the REAL Barbara Walters…someone who doesn’t respect their own reputation enough to only have the best and brightest on The View. I like Sherri Shephard’s humor but she eschews the whole science of evolution! Just another idiot on the program to dumb down daytime!

The degree of Elisabeth’s ignorance and stupidity has reached a whole new level since Rosie left the view. It is beyond absurd to have this person on a highly watched show (although it might be declining). It is bad enough we have out government feeding uneducated people’s brains and taking advantage of their ignorance in order to push their geopolitical and economic agenda for their own gainings. If they can do that, imagine what Elisabeth can do. She comes off as this sweet, innocent, wholesome, patriotic soccer mom. When women don’t work, perhaps don’t have much education, and stay home to take care of their kids THIS is who they listen to. THIS is their role model. That is not right. It is sickening really. Joy does an ok job counteracting, but still Elisabeth is still stupidly feeding way too much erroneous information into people’s heads.

It really is remarkable that ABC would keep her on the show as her contribution is minimal. I am sure there must be others out there that could srticulate the conservative position better than Elisabeth. I plan to watch the View again when she is on maternity leave.

July 30th, 2007 at 12:35 amI have watched The View, particularly the Hot Topics segment, for years. The discussions used to be stimulating and informative, and I was interested to hear the opinions of all the co-hosts, because they seemed to genuinely think about the issues under discussion.
While Elisabeth does represent the younger demographic, what I find most repugnant about her is that her opinions consist solely of regurgitation of “facts” as presented by Bush’s govt. (and by creationists and evangelical Christian conservatives as well). She has embraced the entire belief system with such certainty that it is scary to anyone with more life experience. Was her invitation to the White House a reward, or perhaps an opportunity for Bush et al to perform additional mind control?
At any rate, tune to Fox if you want to hear that drivel. The View audience is losing patience with smug Elisabeth. Rosie was a great loss for the show, and if Joy were not there, I would never watch it.

Her lack of ever having attempted to do anything truly difficult drags down the level of discussion. I don’t watch it since Rosie left, and I miss it. Today I saw The View by accident, it was on at the garage, stuck I was waiting for my car, and I heard Elizabeth ask stipid hurtful questions to Jon Voigt about his relationship with Angelina and grandchildren, questions she, an avid trash tabloid reader, knew the answers too, and after putting him on the spot, she then gets all fired up about the city of New York’s efforts to get formula out of hospitals so new mothers can be supported trying breast feeding, the healthiest method of nourishing a baby. I am sick of her ignorance, her starry eyed Bushisms, her bad interviewing style, her insecure fast talking short skirt attention seeking annoying presence, she does not represent 30 something women, she is just awful at this job, please send her packing.

She is unable to interview a single guest without adding her own personal agenda or comment. What has she done in her life to become such a world expert on everything? Oh yes, she was on an island.

What a lovely change of pace to hear thoughtful, intelligent comments and answers expressed completely with appropriately modulated voices without constant screeching rapid-fire interruption. While Elisabeth might be suited to certain types of television programming, she is decidedly NOT appropriate for The View. She needs to go.

AN OPEN LETTER TO ELISABETH
Dear Elisabeth… I have nothing against you, and have never met you, but I have a feeling you could be a decent person. That’s why it irks me that you publicly support this war. Please read the following 10 points with an open mind:
1. Most (if not all) of the Iraqi people killed are not responsible for 911.
2. There have been no weapons of mass destruction found–wasn’t that the whole purpose of this war? That’s what Bush stated (over and over again) in his speeches leading up to the war.
3. Children (and other innocent civilians) are dying, being injured, and losing their homes in this war. Are their deaths worth what is being accomplished? Think how 911 affected you… now imagine how Iraqi civilians have to deal with these tragedies daily.
4. If(God forbid)you think the deaths of the soldiers and Iraqi civilians are justified, then what makes the lives of these innocent people less valuable than the lives of your family members?
5. You have said that “terrorists are scary.” No arguments there, but that doesn’t mean we need to go shoot up an entire country. Stop watching Fox News — it is just one big political ad, and everyone knows that the best way to sell a product (or a war) is through fear.
6. You once said, “if this war is about oil, then so be it.” It is THEIR oil, and with the $450,000,000,000 spent on the war so far, an alternative oil source could have been produced. Even a country like Brazil gets more than 60% of their oil from corn crops.
7. You are against abortion. As Liberal as my views are, my conscience would never allow me to have an abortion either …but, isn’t killing an Iraqi, innocent or not, just as bad as killing a fetus?
8. There is nothing Christian about traveling across the ocean to kill other human being.
9. No one is supporting the troops by sending them off to a questionable war with insufficient training and armor. (More than 50% of the troops have died in unarmored vehicles; many of the soldiers had placed sheets of scrap metal in the vehicles as a desperate attempt for protection.)
10. The only link between Iraq and Al Qaeda is the letter “Q” … and their leader was trained in the US.

Instead of being just as ignorant and judgemental as she is, I will speak openly, but without the name calling. I cannot stand when certain issues are brought up, especially about the administration that the country is under at this time, she is like a programmed robot that isn’t willing to hear any point of view that isn’t her own. She is quick to say negative remarks about anyone who smells of being a democrat no matter if they have a valid point or not-hear no evil, speak no evil, see no evil is her motto-she honestly reacts like a small child with her eyes closed and her fingers in her ears-i understand that there are certain issues that she feels strongly about, but when certain republican party members are caught committing crimes or any wrong doing it’s always, well what about so and so and always has a defense. Barbara Walters also seems to protect poor Elisabeth from the “wolves” and intervenes when someone says something to get her “heated up”. Isn’t that something she should be able to take if she’s a host on the show? I would just like to know how she would feel if her precious Tim was sent to Iraq for years at a time-maybe that would give her more to talk about than what little Grace did on the potty yesterday or her vacation with Tim on some island somewhere. I bet the soldiers would love to be on an island with their loved ones instead of being kidnapped, blown up, or without watching their children grow up. I would absolutely love for her to be fired, but I would also like to tell her: Be careful walking around with your eyes and ears closed. That isn’t a defense, that is actually a good way to get knocked off whatever high horse you feel that you’re on. Hell, Barbara Walters needs to be fired-when it comes down to her defending Paris Hilton, she sounds as bad as Elisabeth. I actually like the show better with Rosie-she’s funnier, she calls it like she sees it on BOTH sides and takes the show out of the safe,boring zone. I’ve stopped watching the View and will continue to do so until she’s gone. The show has deteriorated and it may take a lot more than bringing Whoopi to save it. If only we had another Lisa.

September 13th, 2007 at 4:28 pmI think that the real problem is the opponents of the war, and mine is an argument of logistics. So, I am in favor of the war, but only out of default; that is because the U.S. govt. was more effective at presenting their case.
Here is why. The real question of the war was not weapons, but rather, should Saddam Hussein stay in power, or should another nation take preemptive action. This is parallel to the U.S. Senate vote on retaining Clinton, and the referendum in California on retaining Governor Davis. It’s the exact same issue; either Hussein is great or he’s awful.
What Rosie/Kelly O Donnell, Michael Moore, Barbra, Howard Dean, and Jimmy Carter/Nobel Prize FAILED to do was the near-absurd: vouch for S.H. NO ONE outside of Iraq was doing this, not even Sean Penn and that duplicitous feminist Susan Sarandon.
In other words, we take the problems we have now or lament at not seeing someone who gassed people and stray dogs for fun, killed many, (and whose randomly raped/murdered women for sport) still oppressing his people. IT’S THAT SIMPLE!!

Talking about adults peeing in children’s diapers and her having loose bowels is not essential for us to know, and I don’t see how ABC and BW think this is good entertainment. Surely there are other conservative females in their late 20’s or early 30′ that could better represent this particular demographic. I’m glad EH isn’t doing the giveaways this season so far. She sounds so stupid trying to act like Oprah does when she gives things away. Also, when she says things like “we really love you, we really do” to guests, or “you were great, you really were” she sounds so stupid. EH asks really dumb questions of guests and tries to talk over everyone. I’m glad the other panel members ignore half of what she says.
